Recycling Redemption

To close out the Summer, Pastor Ken begins a new series entitled “Cycles of Redemption”.  Today, with the help of some of the Church’s youth, Ken recants the story of Jonah and the whale.  The Scripture which serves as the inspiration for this message is taken from Jonah 1 and 2.

Spiritual Potpourri: The Stink of Sin!

This week Pastor Ken continues his journey exploring our spiritual olfactory senses.  Ken looks into how evil (sin) has made us smell unattractive (stink) to God; and what we can do to change that.  Inspiration is taken from a plethora of Scripture passages: Genesis, Exodus, 2 Corinthians, 1 Samuel, Psalm 40 & 51, Isaiah, Hebrews.

Spiritual Potpourri: The Scent of Salvation

How do you smell?  Do you omit and aroma that is pleasing to God?   Pastor Ken is back from vacation and he poses these very questions in a message entitled “The Scent of Salvation”.  The Scripture this week is taken from Genesis 8 and 2 Corinthians 2.

Live Wisely

Pastor Ken concludes his series on Ecclesiastes.  This week he looks at Solomon’s instructions to live wisely – in body, mind and spirit.  Pastor Ken first looks at Solomon’s hypothesis, then his antithesis and finally his conclusions.  His conclusions align with the ages and stages of peoples lives; first the young, then the middle age and finally those who are young at heart.

What is Your Motto in Life?

What is your motto in life? …Always be prepared! …Hope for the best, accept the rest! …In Ecclesiastes 9 and 10, King Solomon has a somewhat pessimistic view of life.  Some may even call him cynical.  This week Pastor Ken looks at what Solomon has to say and guides us through this section of Scripture.  In the end, he concludes that Solomon came to his views because he did not know what lies ahead for him.  The true is that none of us know what is next for us. With the help of Jesus Christ however, we may not know what lies ahead, but we will be ready for what’s next!

Sun, Sand and Solomon’s Royal Wisdom for Life

In this week’s installment of Ecclesiastes, Pastor Ken looks at a dilemma we all face – You don’t know what you don’t know.  But, with a little help from Solomon,  we discover you don’t have to know WHAT as long as you know WHO!  Know the Father, Son & Holy Spirit!  Ecclesiastes 7, 8.

Royal Wisdom for Life

Pastor Ken continues on with his look a Ecclesiastes.  This week he looks at Solomon’s wisdom for life in chapters 5 and 6.

Sorry – no special musical guests this week!

I Need Help, We All Need Help!

In Part 2 of his series on Ecclesiastes, Pastor Ken explores the fact that we can all use help.  Help intellectually, physically, socially, emotionally and spiritually.  This week we look at chapters 3 and 4 of Ecclesiastes.

As a special treat, we also and a musical performance of a song that ties in nicely to this week’s message.  David Park does a solo performance of a song he wrote, titled “The River”.  Look for this song and more on the upcoming new album by the “Royals in Waiting”.

Wise Up, People of God

Pastor Ken begins a 6 week look at Ecclesiastes.  Each week for the next 6 weeks, Ken will cover two chapters of Ecclesiastes.  Today he looks at chapters 1 and 2; Solomon’s wisdom as it pertains to the soul, mind, emotions, passion and body – the 5 parts of who you are.

To begin today’s Inspiration, we have a special performance.  Two members of the band ‘Royals in Waiting’ are also members of our congregation.  Shawn Wiebe and David Park preform “Movin’ On”; written and preformed by Shawn, accompanied by David.

Your Appointment with God!

How are you?  Not just your mind or your body, but how is your heart, your soul today?  This is the question Pastor Ken poses today.  He uses Psalm 42 to explore just how are you?  Are you ready for your appointment with God?  And… just when might that be?
