This is Thanksgiving weekend in Canada. Tomorrow, Monday is the official Canadian Thanksgiving holiday. To honour this day, Pastor Ken begins today’s message looking at the things for which he is tankful. Today is also the start of a 4 week series looking at the Cross; the crosses we have to bear. The cross is a strong religious symbol for us. We wear it around our necks, we adorn the our houses and churches with it, but what does it really mean? Jesus taught us that cross bearing is essential to Christian life. Ken explores Scripture from Matthew, Mark and Luke to look at Jesus’ meaning and teachings about the crosses we have to bear.
As a special treat today, our own Denise Handy takes the stage to share her thoughts on what cross bearing means to her.
