Jesus The Christ – Peter’s Confession

As we approach Easter, we are going to consider Jesus the Christ. We often speak of Jesus Christ as if Christ were his last name, but Christ is a title, it is a role, not a name! This week we are considering Peter’s famous answer to Jesus’ questions, “Who do you say that I am?” Peter said, “You are the Christ!” But Peter quickly showed that he didn’t know what it meant that Jesus is the Christ or what it means to follow him.

DOXA Day Camps for 2025

Registration Opens March 2, 2025
DOXA Day Camp is dedicated to the care of children and families in Scarborough. Our team of Summer staff work hard to provide a well-rounded program, including sports, arts, experiences and bible lessons, for children entering grades 1-8 in September 2025.
Camp weeks run from July 7 – August 15, 2025 from 9:00am – 3:00pm.
One week of camp is $120.00 per child.

- August 5-8, 2025 at Bridletowne Park Church (Warden & Finch)
- One week of Sports Camp is $170.00 per child.

The Pastor As Shepherd – Protect and Correct

What do pastors do? Last week, looking at Psalm 23, we see that pastors, as shepherds, have a responsibility to lead and to feed the flock, to protect and correct the flock. What does it look like for a pastor to protect and correct the flock? The fact that we, as Canadians, tend to avoid conflict and confrontation actually makes it much more difficult for pastors to fulfill these roles. But it’s so important that they do! Churches need to be reminded that their pastor has this duty and it’s for the good of the congregation.
