In November of 2025 Fallingbrook Heights Baptist Church celebrates their 80th birthday! To honour the occasion, we held a special service. We invited 2 guest speakers and our new pastor to talk about our church’s past, present and future.
Don Hepburn – A lifelong member of FHBC, Don Hepburn has held and continues to hold leadership roles in the church. His late wife Joy was deeply involved in ministry, and Don now leads grief groups while remaining active in the wider community. He is retired from a 37-year career with the Children’s Aid Society of Toronto, where he served in child protection and senior leadership roles and continues to consult in these areas.
Mel Finlay – A former pastor of FHBC, is Co-Executive Director of Nation At Prayer, supporting spiritual refreshment and prayer for elected and Indigenous leaders. He has served in senior leadership across government, non-profit, and corporate sectors, and continues to mentor leaders and ministries in Canada and globally. Mel and his wife Susan were recognized with the King Charles III Coronation Medal in 2025 for their ministry to Senators, MPs, and Indigenous leaders.
Jennifer Sutton – Joined FHBC in 2025 as our full time pastor. She brings extensive pastoral experience in community, family, and youth ministry from across Nova Scotia and New Brunswick. A visionary and creative pastor with a passionate heart for ministry, she was Artistic Director of Ministry in Motion Dance Company and holds a BTh and MA (Theology) from Acadia University. She combines biblical teaching with dynamic community engagement and mentorship.
