Love (part 1)

Today, Pastor Ken completes the series he began during Advent. In December his messages were about Joy, Peace and Hope. Today the topic is ‘Love‘.

Love is defined by the Webster and Oxford dictionaries as something very different than how it is defined in the Bible. Listen to this week’s podcast as Pastor Ken talks about – God’s love.

LOVE        ‘God is love’: His nature 

• Bible, God’s love letter to us-His Love: creates-frees-seeks-rescues-redeems
• God, THE Lover, personally bridges the gap between creator & creation
• HE seeks to saves His lost creation – wills everyone repent & live
• Love bonds Father to Son: common will; Jesus demonstrated reciprocal love in  submission and obedience

LOVE:

• THE greatest operational element / motivator – essential to the universe
• Love compels response: we can only love God because He 1st loved us.
• We love God with all our Heart – soul, mind, and strength.
• Overwhelming love for God redirects us to love one another  – others He loves too
