Compassion Canada | Supporting Moms, Babies & Children in Need
At Fallingbrook Heights Baptist, The Church at the Centre, we believe in caring for the most vulnerable—mothers, babies, and children in need. That’s why we are honoured to partner with Compassion Canada, an organization dedicated to breaking the cycle of poverty through Christ-centered, child-focused development programs.
Through our partnership, we support two key initiatives:
- The Moms & Babies Survival Program in Mexico
- Child Sponsorship & Letter Writing Ministry
Moms & Babies Survival Program | Mexico
Located in Santa Ana Tzacuala, Mexico, just north of Mexico City, this program helps at-risk mothers and newborns by providing:🩺 Access to medical care – Including prenatal check-ups, skilled birth attendants, and essential medical interventions.
Monthly home visits – Survival specialists provide prenatal education, child-rearing guidance, and biblical mentoring.
Church-based support groups – Moms gather to learn essential life skills, from literacy training to business development.
Health & nutrition education – Teaching moms about breastfeeding, preventing malnutrition, and disease prevention.
Since 2022, our church has financially supported this program, ensuring a new group of mothers and babies receive life-changing care each year. In 2023, six moms and their babies were helped through this initiative. Once babies reach one year old, they transition into Compassion Canada’s Child Sponsorship Program, receiving ongoing support for their education, nutrition, and spiritual development.

Child Sponsorship & Letter Writing
Through Compassion Canada’s Child Sponsorship Program, our church financially supports:
- Monisha, a 13-year-old girl in Bangladesh – Sponsorship provides her with education, meals, Bible teaching, and community activities through a local church.
- Letter Writing Ministry – Our congregation also writes letters to Monisha and three other sponsored children in Mexico, offering encouragement and prayer.
- Many of our church members personally sponsor children through Compassion Canada, extending this mission of love even further.

You can make a difference by getting involved in one or more of these ways:
Pray – Lift up Compassion workers, mothers, children, and families, praying for their physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being.
