Ages & Stages

Titans of our Times are upon us! Indeed they are us. As we seek clarity with the letter to Titus as our inspiration, we reflect on three levels of common experience: Our Life Stages, How we Decide, and Steps to God. First we consider our life stage to understand the power we wield influencing the people in our community.

YOU – A Titan of Our Times

The Gentle Gentile of Galatians

To conclude our series in the letter to Galatians, Pastor Ken reads through the 44 verses of Chapters 5 & 6, encouraging us to seeking the Holy Spirit’s illumination. In summary he reflects on a few brilliant truths from Paul’s pen.

Life, Law and Liberation

Pastor Ken continues his series in which he asks us to interpret God’s word.  To look at the selected passages from Galatians and ponder anew.  To see if we can find something rare; something new.  To see what it says to us.  Today’s inspiration is taken from Galatians 3 and 4.

Breathe Deeply…you are here!

With the untimely passing of one of our church members, a Life Deacon and a close friend to the church, Pastor Ken is deviating from his sermon plan this week.  Today he looks at where we/you are – theologically and spiritually.  As we have just celebrated Easter and with the recent passing loved ones, we are left with many questions; not the least of which is how we grieve.  Pastor Ken has officiated and/or attended 3 funerals in the past eight days.  He has a fresh perspective on the subject.  Listen to the podcast to hear what he has to say.  Scripture for today’s message is taken from John 20:24-29 and 1 Thessalonians 4:13-16.

Resurrection? Are you Serious?

On this Easter Sunday, Pastor Ken looks into the question of resurrection.  After all, dead is dead…. isn’t it…?

Hosanna – Emergency 911

Hosanna – your spiritual 911.  Whats’ your Hosanna? Can you think of one you have had recently? Can you think of one that’s coming? What do you want to be saved from? Using the image of Jesus riding into Jerusalem on the back of a donkey, today Pastor Ken looks into those questions and how or what we might do for God’s help. Scripture today is taken from Matthew 21, Mark 11, Luke 19 and John 12.

Palm Sunday

Sound Of Our World

Concluding our series on Spiritual Discernment, Pastor Ken challenges us to bring every part of our lives: body, soul, mind, heart and relationships into submission to God’s perfect and pleasing will. Even though we often can feel drowned in the sound from our world, Jesus Christ shows us and teaches us the power of spiritual discernment. Scripture this week is taken from Luke 14.

The Passionate Pulse Of Your Heart

What do you really, really want? After considering spiritual discernment as it pertains to soul, mind and relationships, our 4th week focuses on hearing and doing God’s will in alignment with the ‘passionate pulse of our heart’. With 2 Kings 17 as a backdrop, God inspires us to ‘seek 1st His Kingdom’, both listening to, and letting Him train our hearts. Scripture today is taken from 2 Kings 17.

Echoing Trusted Friends

Humans are social creatures; we live in community. Our 3rd week pursuing spiritual discernment helps us learn how our communities direct us towards or against God’s will. Through spiritual friends in fellowship God guides us in a peaceful life together – with each other, surrounded by God the Father, Son & Holy Spirit (Divine community). Scripture is taken from Acts 2.
