Our Pastor

Pastor David Williams

Born to American parents living in the UK, Pastor Dave has lived in 7 different cities or towns in 3 different countries. His father was a pastor and then theology professor, which brought the family to Nova Scotia.

Dave studied math and physics, intending to be a math professor before God called him to pastoral ministry. Pastor Dave spent 18 years pastoring his first church. During that time, he married his wonderful wife, Amy, and they became parents to their amazing daughter, Megan.

In April of 2024, he accepted a role as an intentional interim pastor at FHBCatc. Pastor Dave has taken a number of courses on intentional interim ministry and the opportunities that interim ministry provides for bringing meaningful change to a congregation, getting them healthy for their next permanent pastor. Dave and Amy have discerned a shift in God’s call to continue as an intentional interim pastor, working with churches to prepare them for sustainable, long term ministry with their next pastor.

In his spare time, Pastor Dave enjoys reading broadly, working with his hands and learning Karate with Megan.
