Easter Celebration – April 17

What Joy! This is it! Listen! Believe! And … wait for it! On this day, Jesus Christ beat death, and offered life abundant & deep, everlasting & free to you and everyone you know. Take a moment to absorb this truth! Read ( the Bible books) Matthew 28, Luke 24, Mark 16, John 20, 21, & Acts 1. On this day Jesus introduced another day – the day of your glorious redemption –  still yet to come. Joy comes today … and becomes permanent then.

‘Good’ Friday Devotion- April 15

What a horrible, no good, tragic, dismal & seemingly hopeless day! We wrestle with the awfully somber events of ‘Good’ Friday, seeking to find the brilliant hope we know is coming. All through the events of the last chapters of Matthew, Mark,  Luke and particularly John, we face audacious acts of … humans like us, who turned against salvation and killed Jesus. Consider John 18 & 19 with the knowledge that Easter Sunrise is coming.

Walk the  Stations of the Cross April 15,16 at The Reach, 1666 Kingston Rd, 3-10pm.

Celebrate the Resurrection at Rosetta McClain, 6:20 am, April 17.

Maundy Thursday Devotion – April 14

What a profound banquet! Of all the events we commemorate in Passion week – when Jesus earthly ministry came to a crescendo,  the last Supper – Lord’s supper … Passover, perhaps was the strangest and most exhilarating.  It was at this table that Jesus of Nazareth applied bread, wine, lamb, bitter herbs, salt & greens into their deepest fulfillment in the New Covenant  in His own blood. Let’s sit down and dine together, seeking to understand anew His words of hope.

Walk the  Stations of the Cross April  14,15,16 at The Reach, 1666 Kingston Rd, 3-10pm.

Join us at Rosetta McClain celebrate resurrection at Sunrise, 6:20 am, April 17.

Palm Sunday Celebration – April 10

What a weekend! Of course – out-of-this-world amazing events would come, yet on the weekend that started Jesus’ last Passover, events were abuzz at the home of Mary, Martha … and yes… the newly resurrected Lazarus. These events focused everyone on God’s plan. Through the eyes of a servant girl – and Mary herself, we appreciate what happened the night before Jesus rode into Jerusalem as King.  John 11 and 12 put us in the scene.

Walk the  Stations of the Cross April 15, 16 from 3-10 pm at The Reach, 1666 Kingston Rd, 3-10pm. Come to Rosetta McClain for Sunrise 6:20 am.

Celebration Service – March 20

Hey there, we need to talk – we got issues to discuss! This is our last week using our ‘issue’ methodology. We pursue the potent, pressing economical and environmental issues of our day, asking ‘what’s it cost’.  Solomon & Jesus wrestled with these pervasive issues – we consult Ecclesiastes 4 and 5, Matthew 28.

Seeking Godly wisdom for these ‘thorny issues’ we look forward Earth Day April 22, and our Spring of Renewal Truth Talks, Sundays from April 24 to May 15.

Sul’y The Stable Boy

See the Christmas Story though the eyes of Sul’y the Stable Boy.

For Advent in 2021 FHBcatc presented the story of Jesus birth from the perspective of someone who was there to witness the event first hand.  We all know the story of the Kings and the Wise Men. An often overlooked individual at Christmas is Su’ly.

We have created a series of seven videos of Pastor Ken’s portrayal of Sul’y telling the Christmas story.  Tune in to our YouTube Channel and watch as the Christmas story unfolds; starting with Sul’y first meeting a very pregnant Mary or Miriam as he knew her.

You will find these videos on our YouTube Channel in the Playlists.

Celebration Service – March 13

Hey there, we need to talk – we got issues to discuss! Using our ‘issue’ methodology we have pursued Spirituality, Identity, Society (Life, Libido & License).  In this conversation we address issues ‘Politically’ with the teaching of Solomon (Ecclesiastes 9) and Jesus ( Luke 23, John 18) tooling up in the LORD’s will, ways and wonder, in the context of our broader relationships with each other, our community, country and world.
