Mission Month – Week 4

On this very special day – for Paul, Barnabas … you and I , we celebrate the movement of God’s Holy Spirit in our world, and His indwelling of believers. We  continue to follow Paul – arguably the world’s greatest Christian Missionary into a 2nd missionary journey (Acts 16-18).

Mission Month – Week 2

Through Mission Month 2021, we follow Paul – arguably the world’s greatest Christian Missionary. Born Saul of Tarsus, his operational base became Syrian Antioch – where believers 1st called ‘Christians’. Out of this community, God called him and new friends (from the old neighborhood) into their first official missionary journey (Acts 11-14).

Mission Month – Week 1

Through Mission Month 2021, we celebrate and take encouragement from the world’s greatest Christian Missionary. This 1st week of 5, Pastor Ken introduces us to Paul, born Saul of Tarsus in the Roman province of Syria drawing inspiration from his early life – even as a persecutor. Join us and Compassion Canada as we too, follow in his footsteps.

James’ Joy … through Submission

Easter Hope Springs Anew, everyday. In faith, we ask “How do we keep calm & carry on?” – even through difficult days. This last discussion, ‘James’ Joy … through Submission’ gives perspective from James chapters 4 and 5.  Take a deep breath, listen in, and respond! James’ joy is for you too. Indeed this is true vaccination for our souls.

James’ Joy … on Balance

This Easter month: Hope Springs Anew, everyday. We ask “How now shall we live?” through difficult days. This second  discussion of three, ‘James’ Joy … on Balance’ gives perspective from the book of James, chapters 1-3.  Take a deep breath, listen in and respond!

James’ Joy … in Suffering

Easter teaches: Hope Springs Anew, everyday. With this faith promise, we ask “What now: what’s next?” – even through difficult days. This first discussion of three, ‘James’ Joy … in Suffering’ gives us perspective from James Chapters 1, 5.  So take a deep breath, listen in, and respond!

Easter Sunday (April 4)

It happened here – on planet earth! Oh yes, Jesus’ rising from the dead occurred historically at a garden tomb outside Jerusalem, province of Judea, Roman Empire, but supernaturally – brilliantly – audaciously – it occurred here, on earth. With abundant prophecy & 3 years of Jesus’ presence (but no precedent), this event stands as a divider of all humanity. Turn on the switch of your will & contemplate this brilliant resurrection. Pastor Ken explores  5 implication of this focal point of faith. Listen in, join Him and celebrate as hope springs anew.

Good Friday (April 2)

It happened at a busy roadside! Oh yes, historically the most famous crucifixion occurred just outside Jerusalem after Passover, but logistically – practically – focally it occurred at the crossroads of ancient life. This public, shamefully tragic event had political purpose for all three levels of governing authority. Supernaturally predicted by King David centuries earlier (Psalm 22 & 42, Prophet Isaiah…), Jesus’ words from the cross cut to the core of his listeners’ souls. Through this dark moment in history our greatest hope begins to arise. Listen in, find life, as hope springs anew.

Maundy Thursday (April 1)

It happened at a table! Oh yes, Passover occurred historically in Jerusalem, Thursday Mar 31, 33AD (some scholars, say), but logistically – practically – focally, it occurred at a feast. No simple feast, this event had launched the children of Israel into nationhood some 1300 years earlier.  Passover – the Last supper – Eucharist – LORD’s supper is a profound culmination of 6 covenants into the new covenant in Jesus’ blood. You are invited into this covenant. Listen in, join in to celebrate.

Learning

D.E.E.P. Faith & Healthy Pursuits. Pastor Ken completes this 3 week series focused on our 2021 annual theme. Our final syllogism: Learning – discipleship only happens when we are willing to listen. Being willing to listen takes repentance, humility & submission. Therefore, a disciple humbly listens & submits. Are you Jesus’ disciple, by this logic? Lean in close to hear His words, live by his example, trust his direction; you will grow, grow, grow.
