A message from GO! in T.O. Camp Coordinator, Michelle:

GO! in T.O. camp is a weeklong day camp for youth ages 11 through 18, July 4th through 8th. Our last 11 years of Camp has focused on various sites around the city, community building, leadership skills, and spiritual contemplation. Thanks to all of you all for your faithful support to global missions during the continuing pandemic.  Through our church’s support of Canadian Baptist Ministries, Feeding Los Cabos Kids and Compassion Canada, we are being the hands, feet and message of Jesus and bringing hope in places around the world where it is so desperately needed.

To quote from Nation at Prayer’s latest newsletter, “While at this moment we are all living Jesus’ promise that “In this world you will have trouble” it is critically important that we don’t stop and dwell there but read on to Jesus’ promise of real power for this life. “But take heart! I have overcome the world.”  (John 16:33)

For Missions Month this year, we are partnering with Compassion Canada to support their COVID-19 disaster response in Mexico. Your financial donations will help feed the children and fight the poverty of the families in Mexico who’s lives have been devastated by the pandemic.

On Sunday, May 16th we will have a special presentation from Compassion Canada focused on Mexico which will include an opportunity for you to personally sponsor a child or to donate to a COVID-related initiative that will benefit their community.

Feed a Family This Christmas – As Christmas is approaching, we are still dealing with COVID-19. We all hear a lot of bad news about how this has especially impacted vulnerable families.  The good news is that you are powerful in Christ and you can make a real difference!   Christmas is a time of giving.  So prayerfully consider joining with FHBCatc as we raise funds to provide food for families both locally and internationally through our two Christmas Mission projects this year.
