This week we continue on our Mission’s Months theme of “Go, Open Doors!” Today, Pastor Ken weaves Remembrance Day and our Monthly Communion Service into his message.  Scripture today is taken from John 1:1-14.

So, what’s your story?

Just prior to the start of today’s message, one of our young church members read from Scripture – John 9:1-27.  This is the story of the blind man. “…But I know one thing for sure: I was blind . . . I now see.” Starting from this story, Pastor Ken encourages us all to tell our own stories.

Truth – What is truth?

Pastor Ken has returned from his summer holidays and begins a series on Truth.  This week he explores our perception of truth and how that has changed over the ages.  His inspiration this week comes from John chapter 18 and chapter 14.

During the next two weeks, Pastor Errol Johnson – from Shiloh Baptist – will be our guest speaker.  Pastor Johnson will continue on this theme of Truth.

God Who? – The Trinity

This week Pastor Ken combines and summarizes the messages from his series of the last three weeks on “God Who?”.  In a message entitled “The Trinity”, he puts together a set of Top 5 lists for the Father, Son and Spirit.  The Scripture for today’s message is taken from Genesis 1:1-4, 23-28, John 1:1-5, 9-12, 14-18 and John 14:11-17, 23-27

  1. Comes at Jesus’ request to His Father – sent by the Father

With the untimely passing of one of our church members, a Life Deacon and a close friend to the church, Pastor Ken is deviating from his sermon plan this week.  Today he looks at where we/you are – theologically and spiritually.  As we have just celebrated Easter and with the recent passing loved ones, we are left with many questions; not the least of which is how we grieve.  Pastor Ken has officiated and/or attended 3 funerals in the past eight days.  He has a fresh perspective on the subject.  Listen to the podcast to hear what he has to say.  Scripture for today’s message is taken from John 20:24-29 and 1 Thessalonians 4:13-16.
